Note: We first wrote this last year, but we’ve added a few new additions for 2022.

It’s never too early to start planning epic holiday feasts with friends and family, and we have a list of suggestions to get you started. Before you head out to enjoy your meal, be sure to give these restaurants a call beforehand to confirm their group availability.

In case you hadn’t heard, La Taqueria is now in Burnaby, with a location at the Amazing Brentwood. And that bumps our official count of good taco spots in Burnaby up to three! When we went, we stuck with the tried and true tacos La Taqueria is known for, but they’ve also launched a brunch menu if you’re looking to have your holiday meal earlier in the day.
Address: #1210-4580 Brentwood Blvd

Claudio’s Ristorante

Who doesn’t love pasta? If you’re looking for a more authentic Italian experience, Claudio’s is an homage to the owners’ dad, Claudio Magagnin, who operated such classic restaurants as Pasta Amore and La Roca. With generations of Italian cuisine baked into this family, you won’t want to miss Claudio’s! Please note, Claudio’s is ideal for smaller parties of up to six, but call to see if they can accommodate a few more.
Address: #103-4402 Skyline Drive
Phone: (604) 298-3135

Earls/Cactus Club

Everybody loves to hate on these two, and sure, they may be more or less interchangeable, but they’re consistent and reliable places to have some food and drinks and they cater to larger parties (just be sure to book online in advance). And they’ve got a bit of everything in case your group can’t agree on what kind of food to eat. Want noodles? They’ve got ’em. Tacos? Yup. Sushi? Sure do. Seafood, steaks, chicken, and ribs? You better believe it. We recommend trying out the Station Square locations for a great group dining experience.
Address:
6090 Silver Drive (Cactus) / 6070 Silver Drive (Earls)
Phone: (604) 291-9339 (Cactus) / (604) 432-7329 (Earls)
