When you think of Burnaby, Brazilian food might not be the first thing that comes to mind. But BrazEuro Cafe & Catering is trying to change that. With plenty of different Brazilian snacks and meals to try, there is no reason you should skip out on this local hidden gem.

BrazEuro Cafe & Catering is a tiny hole-in-the-wall cafe stuck between an accounting office and a bicycle shop on Edmonds Street. But don’t judge a book by its cover. Inside is a cute and charming cafe with loads of different Brazilian treats to try. Indoor seating is limited at the moment but they have two large tables outside that are great to sit at now that the weather is getting warmer.

There are so many different menu options, but what we were most excited to try were the different Brazilian finger foods. We recommend trying out the croquete de milho com requeijão e queijo which are deep-fried dough balls filled with corn, spreadable cheese, and mozzarella. Think of a mozzarella stick but even better (and that’s coming from someone who really loves mozzarella sticks).

BrazEuro Cafe & Catering also offers different variations of this dish like coxhina (dough filled with shredded chicken and seasoning) and risoles de carne (dough filled with ground lean beef), alongside many other options.

If you’re looking for something more filling, they also offer full meals as well like their shrimp bobó which is rice served with cream of yuca roots, coconut milk, spices, shrimp, and cassava flour (farofa).

As the name suggests, BrazEuro Cafe & Catering also caters. You can call in advance if you’re planning on placing a big order for your next get-together. These Brazilian snacks are the perfect finger food for everyone to share. But don’t worry, if you’re wanting to just go in to try some for yourself you can walk in and order individual servings. They’ll fry some food up for you fresh.

So if you’re looking to try a new and unique treat in the Burnaby area, BrazEuro Cafe & Catering is the place to go.
