Looking to grab a beer in Burnaby? We’ve got good news because the city is home to some great craft breweries and some spots that are outposts of larger chain breweries.

While Burnaby doesn’t have a big brewery scene like Vancouver or Port Moody, these places are sure to please, and you don’t even have to leave the city.

From Hefeweizens to stouts, here are some Burnaby beer spots you should know about.

This small-batch artisan brewery, located near Production Way SkyTrain Station, brings Belgian beer culture to Metro Vancouver. Take a seat in Dageraad’s tasting room and choose from an impressive roster of locally-made beers. Also, if you’re looking to show some Burnaby pride, we suggest trying the Burnabarian, a wildly popular Belgian-style pale ale that’s not afraid to pay homage to its hometown.

Address:#114, 3191 Thunderbird Crescent
Hours: Sunday to Wednesday: 12pm to 7pm/ Thursday to Saturday: 12pm to 9pm

Tucked away on a quiet South Burnaby street is where you can find Studio Brewing. This hip local brewery is extremely popular during summer (they have an awesome patio) and you can enjoy beers indoors during the colder months. There are also food trucks on scene on certain days (you’ll have to check their Instagram for the schedule), and they also have a pretty solid snack menu so you have something to hold you down while you enjoy your drinks. For those who aren’t looking to sip on beer, they also offer juices, sodas, and kombucha to quench your thirst.

Address: 5792 Beresford St
Hours: Sunday and Monday: 12pm to 8pm/ Tuesday to Saturday: 12pm to 10pm

Steamworks Taproom

Yes, you can enjoy Steamworks’ delicious beers without having to go all the way to Gastown. Head to their taproom in north Burnaby. It’s a smaller, more intimate space, making it a great spot to grab some beers with friends. There are also food trucks, live music and trivia nights but be sure to check the taproom’s community calendar for when those are scheduled. You can also bring your own food to enjoy at the taproom, so BYOP (bring your own pizza).
Address: 3845 William St
Hours: Monday to Wednesday: 12pm to 10pm/ Thursday: 12pm to 11pm/ Friday to Saturday: 12pm to midnight/ Sunday: 12pm to 10pm
