A few weeks ago, we asked our readers about free little libraries in the city, and we received many responses highlighting where you can find and donate books for your neighbours and fellow Burnabarians to enjoy for free.

Here are some reader recommendations:

📚 “There’s one … on the corner of McKee and Royal Oak, right next to the little park (Alta Vista) at that intersection,” says Burnaby Beacon reader Bryan.

📚Reader Vira said she knows of 2 little libraries in the city. The first is on Rowan St right near Deer Lake. “It is located on the left side right before the turn on Rowan and one by Gilpin Elementary, not far from the playground. The other, she says, is in Greentree Village. It’s located in the cul-de-sac at the end of Fernglen Pl. Check out the Facebook page for that little library here.

📚 Sunil tells us he and his partner helped set up a free little library at his parents’ house across from the Glenwood Elementary school. The closest cross streets to this library are Marine Drive and Glenwood Close. It is located in the cul-de-sac.

📚 Beacon reader Janice tells us there is also a little library located at Taylor Park Elementary at the intersection of Southpoint and Mission.

📚 Check out the little library at Gilpin as well. Recommended by Sydelle. This library also has a Facebook page to keep you updated.

📚 If you’re in the Cariboo area, you can find a free little library for kids at Armstrong Elementary, located across the Armstrong and Langley cross streets.
