A beach is being built in Burnaby, literally.

Concord Pacific announced today that its new Brentwood development, titled Concord Oasis, will come with a 12,000 sq ft outdoor “oasis” beachfront and track. This will include a 2.75-acre wellness area with a lagoon beachfront that the developer says takes inspiration from tropical resorts such as the Hilton Village and lagoon on Waikiki Beach in Hawaii.

Inside, residents will be able to walk or run along the 400m track and garden area. The indoor pool will also include a beachy feel to it as the outdoor lagoon can be viewed through the pool deck area.

There will also be 30,000 sq ft of indoor amenities like an indoor bowling lane and basketball court, all pat of the park front phase of the four-tower, 26-acre development in the heart of Brentwood.

“We wanted to create an inspiring wellness escape that is light to look at and fun to experience. Regardless of the weather, it provides incredible water views for residents. In the summer, Club Oasis and the beach will provide a great place to lounge, and in the winter, when you’re swimming alongside it in the indoor pool or relaxing in the spa, it offers a wellness experience year-round,” said Concord Pacific’s senior vice-president, Grant Murray in a written statement.

Concord Oasis will be made up of three towers that will have over 900 residences as well as street-level retail and commercial space. The first Oasis tower will start previews this week and sales are expected to begin later in February.
