Burnaby’s Firefighters’ Public House is officially closed for good
The Burnaby Firefighters’ Public House has closed after over 30 years in operation.
On its website, the popular neighbourhood pub in the Metrotown area posted a notice simply reading “Thank you February 1990-November 2021”, indicating its closure.
The Beacon also attempted to get in touch with the establishment but the call was sent to voicemail, where a pub representative stated that “the pub and the banquet hall have ceased operations.” The message also thanked patrons for their business and support over the years.
According to the pub’s website, it was initially “established as a place for active and retired Vancouver and Burnaby firefighters to socialize” but later evolved into a public house and banquets and conference centre.
The Beacon will update this story as more information becomes available.
