You can visit Civic Square this Saturday, July 23 for Burnaby Pride from noon to 5pm. There will be live music, drag, and comedy alongside educational booths and activities that the whole family can enjoy. Everyone is welcome, so be sure to check out this great event.

The largest bubble tea festival in Canada is coming to Burnaby. Head over to Swangard Stadium on July 22 and 23 for plenty of boba, a car show, live music, and so much more! There will also be a “pearl judging contest” where visitors will be able to vote for their favourite bubble tea. You can purchase tickets for $10 at the gates or online.

Also on July 23 is Edmonds City Fair, which will be held in Edmonds Park behind the Edmonds Community Center. There will be live music, dance performances from groups like the Burnaby-based troupe Grupo America, and a classic car show. This event is free to attend and takes place from 11am to 3pm.

Another community cleanup is happening on July 30 from 9am to noon, and this time it will be at the Bonsor Recreation Complex. Everyone is welcome, and equipment like gloves and litter pickers will be provided by the city. Participants will meet in the parking lot of the cleanup location, get a brief orientation, and then start the cleanup.

There is still plenty of time to enjoy this year’s Sounds Like Summer. There will be live music in plenty of different Burnaby parks weekly on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout the day all the way until Sept. 4. You can head over to The Rec Room on July 31 for a $15 drag brunch. You can enjoy drag performances from Beardney Spears, Atondra Deville, and The Established, Shanda Leer. Tickets can be purchased online and include reserve seating, but brunch is not included.
