Burnaby Readers’ Choice Awards: best burger winners

We’ve announced the top restaurants from our 2023 Beacon’s Readers’ Choice Awards, presented by Tourism Burnaby. Now it’s time to highlight some more winners by category.

We’re breaking down the top three restaurant winners in each of the 32 categories included in this year’s awards, as voted by you.

Here are the winners of the best burger in Burnaby.

First place: White Spot

With so many locations spreading across BC, White Spot is practically synonymous with the word “burger” and homey, comforting pub grub. Options range from a simple bacon cheddar burger to a gargantuan double double burger which has (you guessed it!) a double serving of cheese, patties and dill pickles.

Second place: Bin 4 Burger Lounge

Proudly serving burgers with a gourmet touch, Bin 4 Burger Lounge is a great spot to check out if you’re feeling adventurous—with flavours like banh mi, sweet corn chipotle and sesame tuna, you’re guaranteed to try something unique. They’ve got lots of great veggie options too, like ginger soy tofu and chickpea.

Third place: Butchers Block BBQ

Sometimes the best burgers are made right in your backyard, and that’s exactly what Butchers Block BBQ is going for with their “backyard-style barbecue” menu. Find a delicious selection of brisket, ribs, chicken, sausages and, of course, burgers—though you won’t find regular beef patties here, their brisket and pork belly sandwiches look amazing.
