Burnaby Readers’ Choice Awards: Best hot pot winners
We’re continuing with our Beacon’s Readers’ Choice Award category winners
Alright, Burnaby. We’ve announced the top restaurants from our 2023 Beacon’s Readers’ Choice Awards, presented by Tourism Burnaby. Now it’s time to highlight some more winners by category.
We’re breaking down the top three restaurant winners in each of the 32 categories included in this year’s awards, as voted by you.
Here are the winners of the best hot pot in Burnaby.
First place: The Dolar Shop Station Square
The Dolar Shop Station Square is guaranteed to give you a unique hot pot experience — even if you’re a hot pot aficionado. Silky, flavour-packed broths like black truffle mushroom and tomato oxtail look delicious, not to mention some of their high end ingredients like wagyu beef, live prawns and geoduck.
Address: 6078 Silver Dr, Burnaby
Second place: Happy Lamb Hot Pot
With locations all over B.C., Happy Lamb Hot Pot is a go-to for a classic, comforting hot pot dinner. Though they’ve got many different soup bases to choose from, their house special hot and sour broth is an all-time favourite, as well as their fatty beef slices, pork and shrimp dumplings and lamb shoulder for dunking.
Address: 4755 Kingsway, Burnaby
Third place: Pearl Hot Pot
Operating in Burnaby for over 20 years, Pearl Hot Pot is a warm, family-run business that offers a wise selection of meat, seafood and appetizers that are hard to come by in many other hot pot restaurants. Items like pork blood sticky rice and crystal dumplings are must-tries, as well as their individual hot pots that come in a wide range of broth flavours and toppings.
