With a name like “Cherry Blossom Gardens,” it’s no surprise that this place made our list. The street is lined with gorgeous cherry blossoms trees that are perfect to take a light stroll down and snap that Instagram-worthy pic.

Burnaby Mountain Park

We recommend heading up to Burnaby Mountain Park and enjoying the gorgeous cherry blossoms when the sun is just about to hit to catch their beauty as golden hour hits. This park is one of the best viewpoints in all of Burnaby and it looks best in spring. We would suggest heading up a bit earlier to make sure you can find parking.

Southoaks Crescent

If you’re looking for a quick stop for cherry blossoms, then Southoaks Crescent is the best place to go. The street is lined with beautiful cherry blossom trees for you to walk down. The trees are also located very close to the Nikkei National Museum, which honours, preserves, and shares Japanese Canadian history. The blossoms at this location are culturally significant: the cherry tree (sakura) is the symbol of spring in Japan. Street parking at this location is super convenient and it will take you a maximum of 10 minutes to look at all the trees (not counting the time it takes to snap that perfect picture of course). And while you’re there, be sure to check out the Nikkei Museum.

Address: You’ll be able to find the trees outside the museum which is located at 6688 Sotuhoaks Crescent, Burnaby
