Located alongside Kingsway, Cafe Sweets & Beans is very easy to miss if you’re not looking for it. But when you visit you’ll be amazed you’ve never been there before. With plenty of seating, a huge menu with delicious food, and an inviting atmosphere, you’ll wish you visited Cafe Sweets & Beans a whole lot sooner.

With an antique feel and rustic interior, this very cute and cozy cafe is located on 6th St. Handworks is known for its coffee and pastry selection, but they also carry Zakka (which roughly translates to “uncategorized things” in Japanese).Address: 7705 6th Street
This hidden gem near the Metrotown Skytrain station is a great place to sneak away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a good drink while studying or catching up with a friend. The interior is inviting and the large windows bring in beautiful natural light, making it a great spot to watch the rain or snow fall on a chilly Burnaby day.

If you’ve ever passed the corner of 6th St and 10th Ave in Burnaby, you’ve probably seen the large signage for Hiel Cafe. Although it’s located in a business complex, this spot serves up nothing but inviting vibes with warm lighting and lots of greenery. Basak is the spot to go if you’re looking for a cozy space with a cheery feel. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, you’re also in luck because Basak specializes in taco-shaped sweet waffles filled with cream, which they refer to as their “chubby waffles.”

Ambit is an inviting cafe that specializes in hearty, house-made sandwiches and another lunch fare, decadent desserts, and an impressive roster of caffeinated and non-caffeinated beverages. It’s a wonderful local spot to escape those grey skies and warm up while enjoying some good eats.
