Feast your way through a 10-day food festival in Burnaby Heights

Save some room for dinner because Crave the Heights 2022 is returning to Burnaby. This special 10-day event showcases all the amazing food that’s available in the Burnaby Heights neighbourhood. Plus, each restaurant will have “special menu items, drink features, and delicious desserts.”

Restaurants like Butchers Block BBQ House, which is offering a “Crave BBQ Sampler Platter” that will let you try a little bit of everything from its menu. For $49.99 you can get beef brisket, pulled pork, sausage, chicken and ribs, all with a side of cornbread and coleslaw.

Other places are serving up some breakfast options like The Grey Olive Cafeteria, which is featuring its “Pork Belly Breaky.” It comes with braised pork belly, chilli marinated tomatoes, arugula, marbled eggs, and toasted sesame mayo.

To finish off your day of eating you’ll have to head over to Glenburn Soda Fountain for some Stranger Sundaes, which are a mashup of four specialty sundaes.

Crave the Heights is happening from Aug. 19 to 28. There will also be live jazz music performances from local musicians at the Heights Fountain Square from 4 to 6pm, Gabriel Mark Hasselbach is playing on Aug. 19, the New Orleans Street Party is playing Aug. 26, and Freakin’ Groovies is playing Aug. 27.
