A free street fair with old-school flair is happening in Edmonds this weekend
Get ready to rev it up: the Edmonds City Fair and Car Show makes its in-person return on Saturday, July 23.
After taking a two-year pandemic hiatus, the annual fair returns to Edmonds Park this year offering a variety of food and family-friendly activities including live music, face painting, a petting zoo, and a classic car show.
This year, the fair’s live entertainment lineup features a showcase of Latin American dance and a blast (or maybe a few blasts) from the past.
Burnaby-based dance troupe Grupo America is set to perform its mix of Latin American dance routines. The group touts a repertoire of dances from across Latin America, including Colombia, Mexico, Cuba, Brazil and more.
Fairgoers can also expect to see some classic throwbacks as well, as tributes to Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline and Roy Orbison are all slated for the event.
For younger generations, the fair is also hosting a range of kid-friendly activities and entertainment, including face-painting and a petting zoo.
And last but not least, the classic car show is making its return alongside the fair this year.
From stock cars to muscle cars, street rods to lowriders, those attending the car show can expect to find a whole host of classic vehicles on display along Humphries Avenue.
The event takes place from 11am to 3pm, and is free of charge to all attendees.
