IHIT called in after fatal shooting in Burnaby

Homicide investigators have been called to Burnaby after a man was shot dead in the Cariboo area.

Burnaby RCMP said it was called to the 7400-block of Mulberry Place just before noon Thursday for a report of a deceased man.

Police found a man dead in a vehicle and say, while the investigation is ongoing, the incident appears to be targeted with no further risk to the public.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been deployed to handle the case.
