Here’s a look at the new R+D Kitchen at The Amazing Brentwood
Take our reader survey for your chance to win $500 to Metropolis at Metrotown!
We’re days away from R+D Kitchen by White Spot opening at The Amazing Brentwood, and the eatery has provided a first look at what diners can expect once it opens its doors.
R+D is the only service restaurant and lounge located at the Tables food court and will also feature the Kitchen Window to serve shoppers quick-service take-out bites.
Folks will also be able to view how dishes are made thanks to the full-length windows that span the entire length of the wall between the kitchen and dining room.
R+D Kitchen will offer lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, and a rotating “roster” of test dishes created by White Spot’s executive chef, James Kennedy. The menu is inspired by “contemporary culinary flavours” and includes an array of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options.
Some notable dishes include the Truffled Mushroom Wagyu Burger, Harissa Cauliflower Steak, the Crispy Skin Arctic Char, and the Prawn and Bacon Benny for brunch.
R+D will also feature a drink menu crafted by Kaitlyn Stewart, the 2017 World Class Bartender of the Year. Keep your eye out for must-try cocktails like the Wildberry Gin Mule with wildberry slush or the Italian Grey Hound. There will also be a variety of handcrafted zero-proof drinks on the menu as well as local craft beer and ciders, 100% BC VQA wines, and the White Spot’s famous milkshakes.
R+D Kitchen is set to open to the public on May 10.
