Ring in 2023 at these NYE events in Burnaby and New West
We’ve all been there. It’s two weeks before the end of the year and suddenly you realize you haven’t made any New Year’s Eve plans. Events are expensive, the downtown parties are all sold out, and besides—who the heck wants to spend the first few hours of 2023 squashed into the train coming back home?
Well, Burnabarians and New Westies, never fear. Here’s a list of events happening on NYE close to home—so you can focus on enjoying the party.
Make sure the kids get tired out early by taking them to this toonie skate at Kensington Complex! Admission is $2 and kids 3 and under skate free.
Address: 6159 Curtis St., Burnaby
Tickets to this 19+ party thrown by The Rec Room at The Amazing Brentwood will get you five hours of unlimited game play at the arcade along with your 9pm admission and a midnight toast! For an additional $10, a VIP ticket will get you in an hour early and you’ll also get a special drink during cocktail hour. There’s also live entertainment and other activities like a photobooth!
Tickets: $30-$40Address: The Rec Room at Brentwood, 2106-1920 Willingdon Ave., Burnaby
According to the Paddlewheeler, “live music, cold drinks, and feel good food [are] essential to celebrating a memorable year.” We couldn’t agree more! Your ticket includes party favours for midnight, and Harris and Debray are your musical guests for the last night of 2022! They also have food and drink specials running for the occasion.
Tickets: $11.62Address: #126-810 Quayside Dr., New Westminster
Starlight Casino has a number of restaurants and lounges to visit, and two of them will be featuring live entertainment for NYE! Hit up Match Public House to hear DJ G Kay, while live band Electric Ballroom will be playing at RedBar.
Address: 350 Gifford St., New Westminster
Dress to the nines for this evening out at the Hilton Metrotown. A team of DJs will be spinning the best in Top 40, funk, Latin, old school, Caribbean, and Afro beats across three dance floors all night long—you can purchase tickets for a 9:30pm admission only, or buy tickets for dinner as well.
