Tucked away in what appears to be a regular strip mall is Standing Egg Coffee, and it should be your next go-to spot for coffee and dessert.

Standing Egg Coffee calls itself a “coffee laboratory” and this description definitely fits. Their claim to fame is their cold brew Dutch coffee which is smooth, delicious, and made in-house in a contraption that looks straight out of a mad scientist’s laboratory.

However, the latest addition to their menu is a must-try for any dessert fans out there. They call it a “crowaffle” and it’s a croissant cooked in a waffle press, topped with chocolate syrup, powdered sugar, and a big scoop of vanilla ice-cream.

We went to try it out and it was flaky, warm, and absolutely incredible. This was a combination that you didn’t know you needed until you tasted it.

But perhaps the cutest thing on their menu are the macrons. They have a variety of adorable designs and they change them up depending on the season (our favourites are definitely the Squid Game-themed ones).

With plenty of seating and all sorts of different kinds of coffee and treats to keep you going, you’ll definitely want to pay Standing Egg Coffee a visit soon.
