A new Persian restaurant has opened its doors in Burnaby
The newest restaurant in Burnaby has opened its doors and specializes in Persian cuisine.
As first reported by the Burnaby Now, Suren Cafe and Restaurant has just opened in the Heights neighbourhood at 4624 Hastings St, taking over the space formerly occupied by The Zeus Greek restaurant.
The team behind Suren told the Beacon that the new eatery “provides all kinds of delicious Persian foods for every taste. We have veggie kebab and vegan items as well,” they said.
Suren doesn’t have a website up and running yet, but according to their online delivery menu, they offer a variety of starters like eggplant dip and chicken wings, as well as specials like the barberry rice with chicken; lentils with rice and lamb; and fava bean rice with lamb shank.
They also offer several different kababs dishes (chicken, beef, lamb, veggie) that come with rice.
On Tuesday, April 12, Suren will be hosting a Canucks happy hour for folks to come in and enjoy the new space, their dishes, and drinks from 6 to 9pm.
