Tacofino Metrotown opens and they're giving out free tacos
It's their 11th brick and mortar location, and first in Burnaby.
Burnaby is in taco heaven, as Tacofino Metrotown officially opens their doors today – the city’s first location.
The new 40-seat restaurant in Station Square brings the restaurant’s familiar vibes and tastes, including local favourites like the Baja-style fish taco and crispy chicken burrito, along with new options like Soft & Crunchies (a taco with both a hard and soft shell tortilla) and Gringas (hot cheese with salsa and your choice of protein, with a tortilla on the side).
You’ll also find their newly-launched breakfast menu alongside lunch, dinner, and happy hour – seven days a week.

“Tacofino Metrotown is a really important opening for the whole Tacofino family,” managing partner Gino Di Domenico said in a release. “We have so many friends and fans in this vibrant part of Burnaby, and it’s exciting to be able to join their community and feed hungry taco lovers.”
The Metrotown opening coincides with the restaurant’s Langford, Vancouver Island opening, meaning the local chain now has 11 brick and mortar locations, along with food trucks too.

Free tacos?
While the restaurant has softly opened, their grand opening from February 9 to 11 will see a free taco coupon given to the first 500 guests each day. That’s 1,500 tacos in total.
Coupons will be redeemable between March 1 and April 30.
