The weather might still be cold, but things are heating up in Burnaby this week with a ton of events around town! From trivia night to arts festivals, there’s something to please everyone.
The Rec Room
Ever dreamed of taking the stage? We see you, Mariah. Join hosts Cheap Thrills at The Rec Room on Thursday night for karaoke and live out your dreams.

The City of Lougheed
Get your groove on at this free, beginner-friendly Latin cardio class put on by the City of Lougheed in The Space Community Room on Feb. 3. All you need is workout clothes, a water bottle, and a big smile! Babies and toddlers are welcome to attend; registration is required.

North Burnaby Neighbourhood House
North Burnaby Neighbourhood House presents the 2023 Stride Burnaby Arts Festival from Feb. 3 to 12! From the organizers: “Enjoy free, safe, low-barrier programming and experiences for all ages. Shadbolt Centre for the Arts
A weekend of jazz awaits. Visit Shadbolt Centre for the Arts on Saturday, Feb. 4 to hear the Spike Wilner Trio, Lezlie Harrison and group, and the Vancouver Jazz Orchestra. Then, on Sunday, Feb. 5, performances by Miki Yamanaka with Mark Turner and The Generations Quartet! The weekend features more than 20 incredible musicians; find the full lineup here.
