These are some of the best eats at The Amazing Brentwood in Burnaby
The Amazing Brentwood has some pretty amazing eats (sorry, we couldn’t help ourselves). It might have one of the most impressive food courts in the Lower Mainland. From Japanese hot dogs to pancakes, here are some of the best eats at The Amazing Brentwood.
Japadog has become a Lower Mainland staple, so it makes sense that you can get it at The Amazing Brentwood. Each location has a slightly different menu, but we’d recommend trying their All Beef Terimayo which comes with an all beef hot dog, teriyaki sauce, Japanese mayo, fried onions, and seaweed. Then to finish it all off you have to try their Age Ice Cream which is a scoop of ice cream in between a sweet bun. It’s maybe one of the best ice cream sandwiches you’ll ever have.
OEB Breakfast Co. should be your next destination for delicious brunch. Whether you’re craving an eggs benny like their Truffled Square which has braised butternut squash and truffle mushrooms, or breakfast poutine like their Gold Digga which has poached eggs, fried herb potatoes, Saint Cyrille curds, Berkshire roast pork, black truffles, brown butter hollandaise. They also do classic breakfast and mimosas.
If you’re wanting to try some of the fluffiest pancakes in Burnaby then you need to head over to Gram Café & Pancakes. If it’s your first visit we’d recommend trying their Premium Pancakes which are three pancakes stacked high ” with a new fluffy texture that feels like it melts in your mouth.” You can also add all sorts of toppings like chocolate sauce, fruits, berries, gelato, eggs, bacon, and more!
While this restaurant is not open quite yet, it already deserves a spot on the list of best eats in The Amazing Brentwood. They serve delicious Mexican cuisine like Huevos Divorciados which has two sunny side up eggs in tomato sauce, guajillo sauce, refried beans, and queso fresco. Also, as their name suggests, they do plenty of different tacos like Birria and Carnitas.
It wouldn’t be a complete list of best eats at The Amazing Brentwood if we didn’t include R + D Kitchen by Whitespot. This is a new test kitchen from White Spot where they serve all sorts of tasty treats you won’t find in a regular White Spot. If you get the chance to visit you need to try their R + D House Wagyu Burger which has aged white cheddar, hickory smoked bacon, and mustard onion confit. They also have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options like their Cauliflower and Cashew Burger with house-made roasted cauliflower and cashew patty, tomato and onion masala all on a vegan bun.
Those who are subscribed to the Burnaby Beacon newsletter (which if you haven’t, you should do so at the bottom of this article) might remember we partnered with Soon Coffee for our first anniversary. They’re a newer coffee shop and serve refreshing cold brew, tasty coffee, and fresh pastries from Beaucoup which are delivered daily. They always have different promotions and giveaways featured on their Instagram so be sure to give them a follow for the latest scoop.
G-Bao (which is short for Glorious Bao) is known for its delicious Tawainese cuisine. Menu items include a number of rice and meat-based dishes including Spicy Basil Beef Fried Rice, Sausage Fried Rice, and Salmon Fried Rice. Of course, bao is on the menu as well!
Steve’s serves up some of the best poké in town. Owner Steve Huynh spent most of his life between Vancouver and Honolulu and mastered the art of creating authentic poké. You can choose from Steve’s menu or build your own bowl.
