Join the National Congress of Black Women Foundation for a tasty spring meal. There are plenty of options for you to order like their oxtail or stew chicken, both served with salad, rice, and peas. There are also cassava cakes, fried dumplings, coconut bread, and fried rice plantain to order. You can visit the event page to order your food and pick it up from the National Congress of Black Women Foundation’s office on Sunday, April 10.

This is your chance to learn how to make authentic Italian food from a real Italian mom and wife! At this class, you will make bruschetta with peppers and goat cheese, fresh gnocchi from scratch with a butter and sage sauce as well as a hearty authentic meat sauce, and a homemade Lemon Cheesecake. Tickets cost $89 and the class is on April 9 from 1:30 to 4:30 pm.

Watch Burnaby’s own SFU softball team take on Western Washington University this weekend, April 9, at 12 pm and 2 pm. Tickets cost $10 for adults, and $7 for seniors, and are free for all SFU students, staff, and faculty. Plus, there is free guest parking for all those who attend.
