Not sure what to do with your pumpkins after Halloween? Take them to the Pumpkin Parade in front of the Eileen Dailly Leisure Pool and Fitness Centre on Nov. 1 from 5:30 to 8pm. You can take your jack-o-lantern on one final walk before they are composted by Burnaby’s waste management team afterwards. Lights for pumpkins will be provided.

Address: Eileen Dailly Leisure Pool and Fitness Centre, 240 Willingdon Ave.

Best Life is a performance “inspired by the machines that make our lives better, and ponders the question: “What if these domestic machines could whisper to us the stories of the people they are caring for?” It tells the story of a suburban neighbourhood over a span of 50 years—an origami of everyday objects, building a shared narrative of longing. This intimate and participatory audience experience simultaneously transports you back to the past as well as forward into the distant future. Best Life also asks a much bigger question: “What it is we are leaving behind?” You can watch Best Life from Nov. 2-5 and can buy tickets online.

Address: Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, 6450 Deer Lake Ave.
