Cafe Sweets & Beans is a hidden gem right along Kingsway

Located alongside Kingsway, Cafe Sweets & Beans is very easy to miss if you’re not looking for it. But when you visit you’ll be amazed you’ve never been there before. With plenty of seating, a huge menu with delicious food, and an inviting atmosphere, you’ll wish you visited Cafe Sweets & Beans a whole lot sooner.

The big selling point of this cafe is the sheer size of the menu. Normally, it’s a bit of a red flag when a restaurant has a large menu, but after trying numerous items from Cafe Sweets and Beans we can promise that everything is delicious. When we went to visit, we ordered the croissant chicken sandwich, which has roasted chicken, green apple, avocado, mozzarella cheese, and a gravy sauce. It’s not your typical sandwich, but it was delicious.

They also offer huge portions of pasta that rivals Antons (they recommend sharing one portion with two people). The truffle oil pasta is what we would recommend, but you can’t go wrong with the S&B Signature Pasta too which can be best described as an Asian-inspired seafood Alfredo.

While the food is delicious, their drinks are also excellent. We’d recommend trying the Saigon latte which is a Vietnamese iced latte made with condensed milk. It’s not quite as sweet as something with a sweetener added to it, but the condensed milk compliments the bitter espresso.

If coffee is not your thing, you can order bubble tea instead. Or if you’re not feeling like pasta or a croissant, you can try one of their waffles or even some of their fried chicken. We cannot stress just how many delicious food options are available at Cafe Sweets & Beans.

This cafe is ideal for bringing your computer in and getting some work done, but it is important to know there is a two-hour time limit for eating in. Also, on weekends the cafe can get busy with students studying for exams so we’d recommend visiting on a weekday if you can. With plenty of seats and a super cozy atmosphere (did we mention there’s even a fireplace), you’ll never want to leave.

If this is your first visit to Cafe Sweets & Beans it’s important to know there are no street-facing signs on Kingsway. But if you turn onto Burlington Ave you’ll be able to enter the parking lot from the back. You can also opt to find some street parking close to the store.

So if you’re in the mood for a quick coffee, a snack, or even an entire meal, Cafe Sweets & Beans has it all.
