Glenburn Soda Fountain and Chez Christophe collab to create the ultimate Burnaby ice cream sandwich
Chez Christophe has partnered with Glenburn Soda Fountain to create the most delicious and Burnaby-inspired ice cream sandwich. Chez Christophe is known for its unique pastries, and this one is no different—it might be one of the fanciest ice cream sandwiches ever made.
The Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich is made with Glenburn’s birchwood vanilla ice cream and its signature butterscotch sauce, sandwiched between Chez Christophe’s iconic macarons. Then it is dipped in 35% blanc caramel chocolate and topped with chocolate drizzle. Trust us when we say it’s as delicious as it looks. It was the perfect amount of sweetness without being overwhelming, and the butterscotch sauce inside of the ice cream was a surprising treat.
The Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich is a Burnaby Heights exclusive item, meaning you can not order it at Chez Christophe’s Surrey location. It’s a way to show off some of the great businesses that call Burnaby Heights home.
Marketing coordinator Elaisha Allibhai said the restaurant has been wanting to do something with ice cream ever since its boba-filled croissant cubes last year.
Pre-orders for the Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich open tomorrow, July 23, on Chez Christophe’s and Glenburn’s websites. You’ll then be able to pick up this sandwich on Aug. 6 at Chez Christophe in Burnaby, or on Aug. 7 at Glenburn Soda Fountain.
Be sure to mark your calendars and grab this amazing ice cream sandwich while you can, we promise you won’t be disappointed.
