Burnaby’s beloved Cozmos Cafe permanently closes its doors
Burnaby’s much-loved Cozmos Cafe has permanently closed its doors.
The North Burnaby eatery known for its delicious and classic breakfast dishes as well as its wide variety of lunch and dinner options posted an announcement on their Instagram page a few weeks ago, citing the impacts of the pandemic for its closure.
“It’s with very heavy hearts we announce the permanent closure of Cozmos Cafe effective immediately. With the uncertainty surrounding the Covid 19 situation we have decided not to renew our lease. Thank you to everyone who supported us these past 8 years we truly appreciated it and we will miss you all,” stated the owners.
On its website, the restaurant said it was family-owned with over 17 years of experience.
Cozmos’ Instagram announcement was met with a slew of comments from patrons expressing their sadness about the closure, and how much the eatery’s stellar food and service will be missed.
Burnaby Beacon has reached out to Cozmos for further comment.
