Two popular hot pot chains plan for second Burnaby locations
Burnaby’s hot pot scene is expanding as two popular chains are planning to open second locations in the city.
The Dolar Shop, which currently operates at 6078 Silver Drive in Station Square announced last month that it is opening another location very close by at 4361 Kingsway.
On its Instagram page, the restaurant said that it is currently hiring for its new outpost.
Burnaby Beacon reached out to the Dolar Shop for more information about this second location and when it expects it will be open.
The global chain is known for its Macau-style hot pot and also has another Metro Vancouver location in Richmond.
On its website, Big Way announced that it will soon open up its second location at 5-4250 Kingsway, which is only a short two-minute walk away from its first outpost.
On Instagram, Big Way said it anticipates its new Burnaby eatery will be open by February.
Big Way confirmed to Burnaby Beacon that its 7-4300 Kingsway restaurant will remain open despite its very close proximity to the second one.
