You can watch free outdoor movies in Burnaby this summer

Summer Cinemas return for the entire month of August! You can enjoy a free family-friendly outdoor movie in Burnaby every Friday starting at 8:30pm. This is the perfect Friday night activity that the whole family could enjoy.

Summer Cinemas will be taking place in Civic Square with different movies being shown every Friday. The full schedule is as follows:

  • Aug. 12 – Clifford the Big Red Dog

  • Aug. 19 – Paddington 2

  • Aug. 26 – Shaun the Sheep Movie

  • Sept. 2 – Ron’s Gone Wrong

This year is also special because a new park is joining the mix. For one night only you can watch The Lego Movie at Edmonds Park on Saturday, Aug. 20.

When attending, be sure to bring your own blanket or chair and to show up early to get a good spot. No registration or tickets are required for the movie, so feel free to walk in the day of. The movie will play rain or shine.
