Where to get the best Pride-themed treats in Burnaby

Pride month is upon us, and that means there will be plenty of local Pride-themed treats for you to try. Plus, some of the restaurants listed will be donating proceeds to QMUNITY — BC’s Queer, Trans, & Two-Spirit Resource Centre located at 1170 Bute St, Vancouver. So without further ado, here are the best Pride-themed treats in Burnaby.

The Pie Hole has two Pride-themed treats for you to enjoy this Pride month. You can order either their Pride Party Pie or their Pride Pop Tart. The pie comes with a rainbow layered cheesecake filling, a hand-pressed graham crumb crust, and all topped with fresh whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles. Their pop tart has a double butter crust and is filled with local sour cherries. They’re then topped with some rainbow icing. Plus, profits from the sales of these two items will go to QMUNITY.

Address: 7832 6th Street, Burnaby and 1864 West 4th Ave., Vancouver

Chez Christophe is known for their fancy treats, and their Pride collection is no exception. They have three different offerings for Pride, their Rainbow Opera cake, Donut Cube, and tri-colour iced drink. The Rainbow Opera cake has strawberry butter cream, lemon basil ganache, vanilla monte, and jaconde, all on a pop rock crunch base. The Donut Cube is their signature Croissant Cube with rainbow brioche dough layered and coated with sugar all filled with a special weekly filling. Lastly, their tri-colour iced drink has raspberry puree, lemonade and brewed butterfly pea tea. 15% of sales from these items will also go to QMUNITY.

Address: 4717 Hastings St, Burnaby and 1558 Johnston Rd, White Rock

Punk Rock Pastries serves some very unique and cheeky treats and is always worth visiting. They have this absolutely delicious Rainbow Cake which is a vanilla rainbow cake with vanilla buttercream and works as a perfect treat for your next Pride party. But they also have plenty of other treats for you to try. Our personal favourite is their cake pop shaped like a potato (don’t worry, it’s not potato flavoured).
