The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival is bringing fun and food to BCIT for its Burnaby Block Party this weekend. Over 20 food trucks will be on site, including G’s Donairs, Shameless Buns, Taco Tigre, The Mad Greek, and Truckin’ BBQ. There will also be live entertainment and an artisan market. It’s free to enjoy, but a free gate entry ticket is needed.

Date: April 22 from 11am to 8pm and April 23 from 11am to 7pm
Address: 3700 Willingdon Ave.

Head to Burnaby Equestrian Centre as it hosts its first open house in three years. The event will include free pony rides, crafts, riding demos, and a cash barbecue. The non-profit club is located at the Avalon Entrance of Burnaby Lake Park—and it recommends you carpool or take transit, as parking at the venue is limited.

Date: April 22 from 11am to 3pm
Address: 9080 Avalon Ave.

Jokers Canada is back with another comedy night at The Rec Room on Wednesday, featuring some of Canada’s funniest people! (By the way, Beacon Insiders get access to a special coupon code to save 25% on tickets to events like this.)

Date: April 26 at 8pm (doors open at 7pm)
Address: #2106-1920 Willingdon Ave.
