Twins Donuts serves up some of the best locally made donuts in town. Chef Leslie Grana is the mastermind behind the donut operation and her goal is to serve up flavours that are unique and reflect the tastes of the Philippines, which is where she is originally from. You can pick from sweet flavours like leche/dulche flan, ube coconut, tiramisu, strawberry cheesecake, and nutella cheesecake. Twins Donuts also has a savoury menu, which includes its chicken adobo, ham and cheese, and beef bourguignon flavours.

VCFP’s volunteers maintain five fridges and four pantries across Vancouver, keeping them clean and functional. ⁠(The one we usually stock is at 4040 Victoria Drive!)⁠ ⁠ VCFP’s emphasizes dignity in achieving food equity — they don’t police their fridges, so anyone can come and take what they need. They’re also great about promoting other local organizations tackling food insecurity, housing, and social justice.⁠ ⁠ We believe VCFP is a great place for us to both divert our cafe’s food waste and contribute to achieving food equity in our communities. You can head to their website to find a fridge, and if you have the means to stock a fridge or pantry this week, please consider doing so!"

What’s better than a donut? A mochi donut. If you’ve been on the hunt to satisfy this very specific craving, then you’re in luck because Holy Mochi Donuts are now available in Burnaby. With flavours like vanilla chai, champagne, Vietnamese coffee and Vietnamese green tea, you know you’re in for a super sweet treat. Pre-orders for Holy Mochi Donuts are now open on their website. Once ordered, they’re available for pickup at Glenburn Soda Fountain & Confectionary on weekends from 3-9pm. You can even order your donuts a week in advance.
