Alright, Burnaby. We’ve announced the top restaurants from our 2023 Beacon’s Readers’ Choice Awards, presented by Tourism Burnaby. Now it’s time to highlight some more winners by category.

We’re breaking down the top three restaurant winners in each of the 32 categories included in this year’s awards, as voted by you.

Here are the winners of the best new restaurants in Burnaby.

First place: Wild Flour Pizza Co.

If you’re on a sourdough bread binge, then you’re going to love the pizzas at Wild Flour Pizza Co. Made with sourdough and heritage grains, the crust has a sweet tang that truly makes it stand out, not to mention toppings—pizza flavours like butter paneer, blue pear, and chorizo with slow roasted potatoes and manchego will make your palate sing.

Second place: The Peri Peri Shack

Third place: Bin 4 Burger Lounge

It’s “no longer about the ketchup” at Bin 4 Burger Lounge, who take pride in serving unique burgers with international flavours. Expect to see creative sandwiches on their menu like the “angry bull” with bison, pork, and chorizo or the “my big fat greek burger” with BC lamb, oregano yogurt, and goat cheese.
