Summer sips: Vancouver Bubble Tea Fest returns to Swangard
Let's get into some bubble trouble!

The cold weather will soon be on its way out, and with that, we’re looking forward to summer events!
There’s a lot lined up on the roster for Burnaby this summer—including a Vance Joy concert at Deer Lake, free admission to the Blues & Roots Festival, and more.
And one other event we’ve got our eye on is the return of an event that first made its mark in Burnaby last year: the Vancouver Bubble Tea Festival.
The festival will make its comeback for the second time from July 7-9 at Swangard Stadium.
Alongside lots of boba—you’ll be able to order from more than 10 different brands onsite—attendees can expect Taiwanese street eats like fried chicken and BBQ among the food truck offerings. There will also be performances, activities, and a pearl judging competition—where you can vote for your favourite bubble tea shop.
While festival organizers are still accepting applications for this year’s slate of vendors, take a read of our sneak peek of last year’s festival if you’re looking for more information on what to expect.
The festival says this year’s event will improve on last year’s successes—adding an additional day to the schedule, longer operating hours, 60% more booths, and more varieties of bubble tea and street food.
When: July 7-9, 2023
Where: Swangard Stadium — 3883 Imperial St
