Celebrate the start of summer with free live performances from a variety of artists. Performances are happening from July 4–8 and include Family Square Dance with Paul Silveria, The Wilson Gibbons Duo, Cosmo’s Clown Circus, and many more. Performances take place at Confederation Park and Civic Square and you can check the City of Burnaby website for a full list of performers and what time they’ll be on.

Children ages 8–12 can learn how to make Hello Kitty cake pops on July 9 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm at Posh Pantry. The cake will be baked from scratch and students will participate in every step of making these fun treats. The class also includes turkey or cheese sandwiches, ripple chips, and celery and cucumber slices for lunch! This event costs $85 and space is limited so be sure to sign up quick!

Whether you’re a beginner golfer or a pro, head over to Kensington Pitch and Putt on July 9 for a friendly game with fellow golfers. The focus of this event is not competitive but to have a good time and meet new people. Golf starts at 10 am but people are asked to meet up at 9:30 am. It costs $13 to golf and you can register to attend online.

The City of Burnaby is also offering up musical performances from plenty of different artists from July 6–10. You’ll hear performances from the Kalyan Rath, Shruti Ramani, and Girl A Girl B. Performances take place in different parks all over Burnaby so be sure to check online to see when and where your favourite performer is playing.
