Four Christmas events you can still check out in Burnaby this week
Don’t hang up those lights just yet! Just because Christmas has come and gone, doesn’t mean the festive season has to end as well. If you’re not quite ready for the magic to be over, here are four Christmassy events you can STILL check out in Burnaby this week.
One of the most popular holiday events in Metro Vancouver is right here in Burnaby, and admission is free! Burnaby Village Museum is transformed into a 10-acre wonderland for Heritage Christmas with seasonal entertainment, demonstrations, and activities. You can also take part in a bird-themed scavenger hunt for the collection of huge, incredibly crafted eco-sculptures around the facility. Don’t forget to visit the ice cream parlour and stop by for some kettle corn too!

Burnaby’s iconic Dageraad Brewing has teamed up with local-based bakery Ginger and Bread to provide gingerbread house kits throughout December! Head to the tasting room near Production Way-University SkyTrain Station to build your dream house as you sip on one of Dageraad’s exciting holiday releases. We’ll forgive you if the foundation of your gingerbread house is a tiny bit wobbly.

Embrace the cold with this New Year’s Day toonie skate put on by the City of Burnaby! Head to Bill Copeland Sports Centre on Jan. 1 to start the year off right. Admission is just $2 a person, free for children under three, and skates and helmet rental are included!
