2023 has already been a busy year for new restaurants in Burnaby, and another two eateries recently opened their doors.
The first exciting addition to Burnaby’s food scene is made for breakfast and brunch lovers.
Pür&Simple is now open at 6080 McKay Ave., in the Station Square area.
If you’re looking for a hearty breakfast, you can choose from a roster of benedicts, buttermilk pancakes, crepes, homemade waffles, french toast, skillets, breakfast burritos, or gourmet omelettes.
If you’ve got a sweet tooth, there are definitely dishes for you, like the red velvet pancakes (raspberries, sweet cream cheese, raspberry coulis, and topped with whipped cream and fresh mint), Carole’s cinna-cakes (cinnamon, icing glaze, and whipped cream), or Ri Ri’s cheesecake waffles (strawberries, sweet cream cheese, crumbled graham crackers, and topped with whipped cream).
For those who enjoy savoury dishes, you’re in luck too, with offerings like the fried chicken and don chorizo benedicts, Ray’s Extravaganza Skillet (made with bacon, ham, sausage, peppers, onions, tomatoes, and a cheese blend), or the breakfast brioche sandwich (egg, bacon, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, avocado, fine herb mayonnaise).
Most savoury dishes come with a side of Pür&Simple’s P&S potatoes.
If you’re feeling some light breakfast fare, the menu also includes six refreshing smoothie options.
And if lunch is more your thing, Pür&Simple serves up a good selection of burgers, sandwiches, and wraps, but the salad offerings are slim, with only two options on the menu.
There’s also a kid’s menu, and gluten-free options are available.
Located just minutes away from Pür&Simple is the Dolar Shop’s new Burnaby location.
This popular hot pot restaurant already operates at 6078 Silver Dr. and announced its expansion in December.
Its new Burnaby eatery at 4361 Kingsway opened in late January and is currently running a grand opening promotion of $30 off a $100 purchase (when the QR code below is presented).
The global chain is known for its Macau-style hot pot and also has another Metro Vancouver location in Richmond.
