What’s on the menu: new Burnaby restaurants coming to Station Square
Looking for a new Burnaby restaurant to check out? Well, look no further than Station Square, which has four new restaurants now open or coming very soon. From mazesoba to poké, there is sure to be something you’ll love.
Mazesoba is coming to Station Square! Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba specializes in brothless ramen served with thick chewy multigrain noodles. There are 11 different ingredients you can get with your mazesoba like cubed pork chashu, spicy minced pork, bamboo shoots, and raw egg yolk. Additionally, there are plenty of other menu options for you to try like classic ramen, donburi and karaage bao buns. Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba will be opening Monday, March 28.

Pokérrito is the spot to get your poké fix. With 44 different toppings to add to your bowl, there is a seemingly endless possibility of combinations. They also have seven different pre-made bowls for you to choose from like their Waikiki bowl with octopus, shrimp, seaweed salad, crab meat, masago, sesame seeds, crispy onions, sweet corn, black olives, and wasabi basil. You can also get your poké served to you in four different ways: with rice, kale noodles, salad, or as a sushi burrito (aka a pokérrito). This restaurant will be opening in Summer 2022 so be sure to mark your calendars.

Tendon Kohaku serves rice bowls with an assortment of different types of tempura like prawns, chicken, squid, sole fish, shiitake mushrooms, kabocha pumpkin, and so many more. Plus, every main dish is served with miso soup and a ginger pickle. They also have some yummy dessert options like organic Kyoto matcha soft serve and their Japanese strawberry cheesecake.

JJ Bean just opened up a new location at Station Square last month with plenty of different coffee options. They also serve your classic coffee shop favourites like croissants, cookies, and muffins. This is the perfect place to stop for a sweet treat after you’ve eaten your fill at one of the new restaurants opening soon at Station Square.
