We’re continuing with our Beacon’s Readers’ Choice Award category winners
Alright, Burnaby. We’ve announced the top restaurants from our 2023 Beacon’s Readers’ Choice Awards, presented by Tourism Burnaby. Now it’s time to highlight some more winners by category.
We’re breaking down the top three restaurant winners in each of the 32 categories included in this year’s awards, as voted by you.
Here are the winners of the best bubble tea in Burnaby.
First place: Chatime
With over 1,500 locations worldwide, Chatime is an iconic bubble tea shop that has set the standard for many other stores of its kind. The menu consists of classic milk teas and flavoured milk teas to specialty drinks like chocolate hazelnut delight and candied winter melon latte.

Second place: Bubble World
Serving traditional Taiwanese dishes and various flavours of bubble tea, Bubble World is a cozy takeout and dine-in restaurant in Burnaby that has developed a loyal following since their first Vancouver location was established in 1995. Think cod steaks with sweet and sour sauce and braised beef brisket for food, as well as an endless list of hot and cold teas with custom toppings for drink.

Third place: Blossom Teas
Specializing in fun bubble tea beverages and Asian desserts, Blossom Teas is an essential spot to visit in Burnaby if you have a sweet tooth. Though they serve all the classics such as roasted milk tea and black sugar pearls, they’re famous for their fresh mango options—items such as mango pomelo sago and shaved mango bingsu are must-tries.
