Burnaby Readers’ Choice Awards: Best happy hour winners
We’re continuing with our Beacon’s Readers’ Choice Award category winners
Alright, Burnaby. We’ve announced the top restaurants from our 2023 Beacon’s Readers’ Choice Awards, presented by Tourism Burnaby. Now it’s time to highlight some more winners by category.
We’re breaking down the top three restaurant winners in each of the 32 categories included in this year’s awards, as voted by you.
Here are the winners of the best happy hour in Burnaby.
First place: Cactus Club Cafe
Cactus Club is practically synonymous with happy hour, as their daily food and drink deals (from 2 to 5pm and 9pm to close) feature some of their most popular items—most notably their signature frozen bellini, truffle fries and sushi rolls—which are even more irresistible at a lower price point.
Address: 4219B Lougheed Hwy, Burnaby
Second place: Earls Kitchen + Bar
Though Earls is large chain that spreads all throughout Canada and the US, each location has a menu that’s curated just for them. That means each happy hour is unique, featuring slightly different items depending on where you go. Some notable items on the Brentwood menu include red and white sangrias and highballs for drinks as well as crispy tofu sushi tacos for food.
Address: 4525 Lougheed Hwy Unit 1308, Burnaby
Third place: Admiral Pub
This bustling tavern is an iconic Burnaby spot for live music, karaoke, classic pub fare and, of course, a great happy hour menu with cheap deals for beer and pub snacks. Some menu items include crispy fish tacos, beef brisket sandwiches and house-made thin crust pizzas as well as a long list of local beers.
Address: 4125 Hastings St., Burnaby
