We’re continuing with our Beacon’s Readers’ Choice Award category winners
Alright, Burnaby. We’ve announced the top restaurants from our 2023 Beacon’s Readers’ Choice Awards, presented by Tourism Burnaby. Now it’s time to highlight some more winners by category.
We’re breaking down the top three restaurant winners in each of the 32 categories included in this year’s awards, as voted by you.
Here are the winners of the best Greek cuisine in Burnaby.
First place: Sfinaki
Serving the Heights community for over 25 years, Sfinaki has kept its position as Burnaby’s best Greek restaurant time and time again. All of their dishes are made from scratch right down to the tzatziki, and items like grilled lamb chops, prawn and scallop souvlaki and keftedes are all marinated and grilled to perfection.

Second place: Socrates in the Heights
This cozy takeout and catering restaurant offers a wide variety of Greek specialties like saganaki, souvlaki and other delicious mains like moussaka and slow roasted lamb shoulder. Be sure to check out their dessert menu too—options like bougatsa (semolina and orange infused custard wrapped in phyllo) and greek yogurt cheesecake sound incredible.
